File-sharing sites - please be aware of risks

It appears that a number of my applications have popped up on P2P file-sharing networks such as eMule. Whilst it is nice to know that my software is becoming more widespread like this, I would urge people not to use versions of the applications downloaded from these sites and to download the version from my main web site instead: http://members.lycos.co.uk/wuul/index.html

The reason for this is that you have no guarantee that the version on these networks hasn't been compromised in any way, either deliberately by a malicious developer, or simply infected with a virus. If you download the proper version from my site or one of the reputable file-hosting sites you are much less exposed and will also get the latest version and all the source code.

I have even seen a "cracked" version of one of my programs on eMule - which is bizarre given that everything I write is freeware and open-source!
